This one comes from the G Plan Brandon range and benefits from being in the same ownership since new. This line was designed by VB Wilkins who went on to design some of G Plans most iconic and enduring pieces.
The bureau comes with the useful addition of a lower drawer and a shelved cupboard which is accessible by two doors. The false top drawer pulls open a short way and by use of a neat semi concealed button on the inside of the drawer, the front drops down giving you access to a small flight of pigeon holes and an area for writing, paying the bills or a laptop.
The piece is in good condition having enjoyed gentle use in a home rather than having been found in a shed. There is a very small piece of veneer missing to the rear of the top not a great deal, a small amount of light staining to the inside of the writing area but overall the bureau is in very good order, fresh looking rather than tired. It not only comes with the G Plan logo but with the retailer’s plaque on inside of the cupboard door, a nice touch.
