Late Victorian / early Edwardian Armchair which sits well having pleasing proportions and an attractive silhouette. It’s slightly upright, not as low as some and a sensible height for sitting, making it particularly versatile and able to be placed into most styles of rooms.
Condition wise, it’s pretty good. We have steam cleaned the upholstery (not that it was dirty) – so it’s smelling and looking fresh. There is a little fraying and fading to the woven fabric, but it’s perfectly usable. The chair possesses no repairs, sits on its original, nicely aged pot and brass castors with no wobbles or sways.
You could easily use it as is or decide to reupholster in an alternative fabric - we would be happy to assist on the latter.
