A Very Attractive Quality 1930s Ebonised Oak and Black Leather Armchair

This one catches the eye – it’s got quality, its shapely and its time worn and its weighty ebonised oak frame is a little unusual. Surviving from the early 1930s we can see this one sitting perfectly with a period desk, taking up a corner in a living room or maybe placed in a hallway.
The original hair filling to the wide seat has been topped with a soft black calf leather which brings out the colour and grain in the oak perfectly. Condition wise, it’s pretty much how you would wish it to be with pleasing wear to the arms, a good tone to the ebonised oak and the odd mark to the bulbous legs. It’s sitting secure with no wobbles, sways or repairs.
A wonderfully shaped well-crafted chair which depicts its era effortlessly.
