A Mid Century rosewood dining table by Nanna Ditzel, produced by Soren Wiladsen Mobelfabrik which was passed our way with a good set of 6 rosewood dining chairs of similar quality, purchased and used together.
“Nanna Ditzel was the most versatile and creative female designer that Denmark produced in the 20th century. Ditzel brought her talents to bear on a staggering array of forms — she designed furniture, jewellery, tableware and textiles; and she shaped her pieces using an equally astonishing variety of materials, from wood and wicker to silver, ceramics and fiberglass.”
The well designed and formed rosewood table is presented in good order having been cared for well. The table fits six chairs perfectly and also benefits from an extra leaf which is stored underneath the top and thus darker in tone. The top is a little faded, with a few ring marks and possesses light day to day marks with no repairs. You could have the top re-polished –not as expensive as you may think.
Without doubt a great looking table.
