Spot on looks wise, a good angle to the seat, wide polished steel base and upholstered in a wonderful aged brick red leather which is soft, supple and supportive. It certainly has that “lived in” condition which manufacturers of new chairs fail miserably to copy and without a doubt he’s a good looking chap!
Condition wise he has the usual wear to the edges of arms and seats, with the right hand arm showing a bit more wear but overall the leather remains supple and soft. There are the odd nibbles around the frames but nothing too much to concern yourself with, there are no rips or tears, just one historic repair. The base is rust and crack free, holding the seat tightly. We have conditioned the leather with a good quality leather balm so looking and smelling right. Looking for vintage then this one is perfect – looking for new – best leave well alone.
We think he'd would look great in an apartment, maybe a period home or perfect for a commercial space.
