A good vintage combination of a solid pine frame and thick mahogany top with the very useful benefit of a two door cupboard sitting underneath making this a bit more handy than most.
“Number 17” sits at a good height displaying the usual knocks, wounds and scars from its previous life as a hard working carpenters bench. We kept the rather good looking Record vices – one on either side attached to the bench – perfect for hanging things on... As mentioned, this one benefits from having a deep two door cupboard and also a lower shelf to one side both handy for storage. Though it is a used vintage piece, this one is well made and heavy for its size so no wobbles, sways or movement.
The mahogany top possesses a nice sheen and the solid pine frame is aging well. We have cleaned and lightly waxed the bench so it’s ready for work once again!
We have sold similar pieces to commercial and private clients, with one even gracing a bathroom!
