A Victorian chest found in untouched condition in its alluring deep green almost blue paint showing great patination and aging. This one possesses that look and feel that only time and being left to age conveys.
The images of this chest pretty much sum it up – original iron handles to either end, original hinges and apart from a little historic worm to the right which we have treated as a precaution its now ready to enjoy. The chest benefits from a clean interior, the lid closes properly, it is well proportioned and we would assume has been kept in house rather than stored in a barn or shed.
Just a smashing piece of furniture.
