C1880, this table sits in a desirable un-messed original condition complete with its original, be it a touch tatty, purple baize. This one possesses an air of faded grandeur - the gilt work is pleasantly worm, not freshly re-painted like some… The overall frame is strong and all the better for not having been restored or brightened up with a fresh coat of black and thus is pleasingly worn in places. The top with a swivel and fold over action is again historically marked however perfectly useable. The purple interior baize is split at the joints but again not the end of the world. No repairs or faults apart from day to day use and the black pot castors are also in place. We have lightly waxed the piece.
We reckon the perfect side table which doubles up into a card table ready for a quick game of Bridge, Texas Hold’em or Kurplunk whichever tickles your fancy!
