Spot on looks wise, a good angle to the seat, wide polished steel bases and upholstered in a wonderful aged brick red leather which is soft, supple and supportive. Always good to find a matching pair rather than a single and this pair are certainly in that “lived in” condition which manufacturers of new chairs fail miserably to copy. Without doubt a pair of good looking chaps!
Condition wise they have the usual wear to the edges of arms and seats with the leather remaining supple and soft. There are the odd nibbles around the frames but nothing too much to concern yourself with, there are no rips or tears, just one historic repair to one of them. The bases are rust and crack free holding the sits tightly. We have conditioned the leather with a good quality leather balm so they are looking and smelling right. Looking for vintage then these are perfect – looking for new – best leave alone.
We are thinking they would look great in an apartment, maybe a period home or perfect for a commercial space.
