Wonderful flight of ten drawers from around the mid-century, 1940-50, finished on a grand set of four adjustable legs, with very attractive and unusual black enamel lip shaped knobs. It goes without saying that the build quality is very good – walnut veneer to three sides, good weight and brass tipped black legs to name a few…
You rarely see many chest with ten drawers from this era and of an accommodating, narrow stance giving you the opportunity to place it in all manner of places. This one may have originated from a shop or enjoyed commercial use in its past life and is presented in good sound vintage condition. All of its original handles are in place, the legs are steady, the frame standing firm and only one small chip to the veneer. The black top would have been a later addition but suits the chest perfectly.
We have lightly waxed and polished it.
