This chair (one of three) is a bit of tough nut - they were made with a hard life in mind, we think by Shaw Manufacturing of London SE1 – however we reckon they look and feel great!
Whether it’s the black finish worn in the right places, the tubular metal frames or maybe the thick, deep seat finished in good old fashioned proper black vinyl, these are a cracking chair. These must have been used in the workshop environment or more likely the office next door due to the weight and construction. Goes without saying they are comfortable with ample seat space and padded arms helping the working day pass just a little quicker…
Condition wise, there are only a very few nips in the vinyl arms, no rips or tears and the metal frames are very solid with the seat having good spring and firmness.
We have given them a wipe and wax over and reckon they are spot on for home, shop and commercial use.
