A Pair of Neat 1930s Fireside Chairs in Original Condition SOLD

Pretty much untouched except for a quick vacuum and wax over, these are such an appealing pair of 1930s fireside chairs with fabulous deco inspired bentwood arms.
Fortunately, unlike most, the original button Rexine backs are in excellent condition with no rips, button loss or tears either side. We have discovered a little bit of inactive wood worm at the rear of one of the frames and have treated it just as a precaution. The original chestnut brown seat cushions are a little marked, time worn, still plumpish. You could decide to recover if you wish, however it’s the shape and poise that makes these so attractive, very homely. Size wise they are trim however still with the right seat height – not too big that they wouldn’t fit into an apartment, perfect for a cosy living room and maybe worth splitting into bedrooms.
We are thinking maybe pipe and slippers or chocolate and onesie!!
