Found sitting close to a polishing machine in a workshop in Birmingham’s Historic Jewellery Quarter this brown painted cabinet C1930/40 has certainly seen some action! Like so many authentic pieces this one as had a couple of “lock upgrades” to the front, was used to store blocks of hard polish and would have been painted at various times in its life – be it a while ago. This one oozes character and real charm – we removed several other pieces – so more to come – from a small chroming workshop – so it’s got history!
Condition wise it’s obviously used but is firm and could accommodate a shelf inside if you see fit. So pleasing to grab a small slice of Birmingham history.
