1940s Vintage Bottle Green Metal Cabinet by The Milner Safe Co Liverpool

A good pair of bottle green cabinets by the Milner Safe Company of The Phoenix Safe Works Liverpool. Milner was renowned for its safes, strong rooms and steel equipment with a showroom in London and factory in Liverpool.
Both cabinets, used in factories and offices are of a similar condition - the original bottle green colour, a little marked and used around the edges. Amazingly both cabinets still have their inspection labels from Milner and also even more amazing the little cotton key pouches- each cabinet having two keys (one needs a little patience but locks all the same). They are of a classic 40s form with rounded edges with “safe like” chrome handles which are in good condition with no pitting. Inside, the cabinets have their one shelf each matching the exterior colour.
It goes without saying that the cabinets have historic marks and the odd knock however a good looking pair of chaps all the same from a great maker.
