A draughting table manufactured in the 1950’s by the hydraulics expert Nike of Eskilstuna, Sweden. Nike is one of the leading companies when it comes to high pressure hydraulics. They started out in the late 1920’s in Sweden and have subsidiaries in England and the USA.
These guys not only built a purposeful table but also gave it some real style. Found in an East Anglian workshop and still in use, this one is in good vintage condition. So, if you wish, you can give the iconic steel base a high mirror polish or even change the top to acrylic if you so desire – but we feel it’s stunning just the way it is.
We believe it’s a cracker as it stands – very original with wear to the base with the factory paint finish still showing along with the rubber end on the foot pedal. The hydraulics are working fine with the table rising and lowering by use of the pedal. The top is lightly marked with day to day use.
You cannot help but take a step back and think what a beauty…
