1920s Oak Revolving Bookcase Good Original Condition
A little more commercial looking in size hence we would assume it’s from an office or school. This 1920’s oak revolving bookcase is in good original order with no major faults just general day to day wear and tear.
This one in a mid to dark oak shade certainly looks the part and is tall and narrow making it quite easy to slot into a space or wheel around on its iron castors. It possesses three shelves for books or whatever you wish, two sides being lined with slats of oak and all finished with a rope oak trim to the top. It is spinning or should I say revolving well by way of a metal stem which is securely attached to the wheeled base. Obviously it has marks to the oak, which bearing in mind its use and age, is to be expected.
We think it’s a great bit of kit, with a utilitarian look and not too precious so can be used as well as admired – ready to fill up and twirl!
