“Papers Please” Vintage Chest - SOLD

Thought this was just great when we came across it recently, and after a quick wipe and wax it’s ready to go.
Someone, some time ago, grabbed this small chest which was probably already painted black and thought ‘I have a need for a box for the paper boy or girl to pop the daily tabloids into’ and after a few brush strokes, the “Papers Please” box was born!
The chest is from around the 1940’s and the “Papers Please” white wording is a historic addition rather than a fresh coat of lettering. Overall the box is strong and heavy with the top lifting off rather than being hinged.
Looking for something a little different then best grab it.
