1930’s Minty Oak Bookcase with Glass Sliding Rooms from an Opticians
This Minty oak cabinet was used as a small display cabinet in a West Midlands Opticians until recently - showing off spec frames and the like…
A very useful mid height and of a functional size cabinet, presented in good vintage order with a few marks to the oak case. The cabinet with its chrome angular handles, chrome sliding glass runners and feathered and quarter cut oak, echoes the Deco period with its curved edges and base. Originally sold as a “Library Cabinet” the sliding glass doors and cupboard are very capable of holding books etc with the original Minty stamp sitting on the interior of one of top glass fronted cabinets.
We have lightly waxed the oak and now its spot on for the smaller home, study, apartment or shop.
Dimensions – Overall: Height 108cm x Width 89cm x Depth 29cm and 23cm at top
