Charming Garden Statue of Faun Putti on Fluted Column
A charming aged garden piece of a faun, a mythological creature typically depicted as a male with the lower body of a goat, while putti are winged infants, often depicted as cherubs or angelic spirits.
The faun is playing panpipes and is seated on an ivy covered column, with little woodland creatures staring up at him. We have the inscription at the rear of the base reading “ Autumn. As the days grow short the faun plays to rest all fair creatures who face the winters test”
Condition is aged with good colour and with a loss to the top of the squirrel’s head but otherwise sound and ready to place.
A charming little garden piece to hide under a tree or to place on the patio or in the garden room.

If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with moving the item.
