Pair of Small English Oak Modernist Bookcases By Vanson C1950
A great looking matching pair of English oak bookcases with a leaning towards the Modernist era in looks, both in fine order. Super to find a pair, and these are so attractive and useful with their easy on the eye angles…
British made Vanson furniture was produced by W.G Evans and Sons. It was aimed at the high end of the market with a focus on expertly crafted modernist design influenced by the Scandinavian aesthetic. British designer Peter Hayward was head of design and ensured the company remained at the cutting edge of contemporary furniture throughout the mid 20th century.
Both bookcases are in similar condition, of good tone and have sensible day to day wear - no nasty faults and both have the makers badge to the rear “This is a Vanson Production”. We have ensured the bookcases are ready to place having enjoyed a session in our workshop.
A great looking pair C1940 from English maker “Vanson”.
