Handsome Art Deco 6 Drawer Oak and Walnut Chest C1930
Really super quality chest of 6 drawers in solid oak and walnut, British 1930s and very likely a commissioned or specially made piece for a customer which separates into 3 - see one of the images - maybe for easier placing…
It's a lovely piece with subtle features which echo its Art Deco 1930s beginning; the stepped top is a delight, the well shaped base is very pleasing to the eye and the contrasting use of oak and walnut a fine idea which adds a good dash of style. Overall a great looking chest with so many placing options due to its scale.
Condition is good having enjoyed a session in our workshop. The piece, as mentioned, separates into 3 and clips into 3 to form a chest of 6 drawers. The oak lined and walnut fronted drawers are clean and running smoothly, we have the original turned knobs in place, a key to the top drawer, and the oak and walnut is lightly, historically worn but nothing off putting. A little restoration to the lower drawer around the keyhole which is historic and not new. It's heavy for its size. Ready to place - neat and clean.
A fine quality 6 drawer chest C1930 - very handsome indeed!
