Mid Century Armchair Andrew J Milne for E Horace Holme London C1950
Great looking and seldom seen “Adjust” lounge chair designed by Andrew John Milne for E Horace Holme Ltd, Camden, London with paddle arms, and a hinged flip block at the rear to recline if you so desire.
Love the design on this one - quite unique and rather eccentric with its beech frame ending in wide paddle arms and curvy seat with a little padding on the arms. Condition wise the frame has knocks, bumps and the odd mark but sits firm. The upholstery is tired with marks but still supportive and I suppose you could use as as. If you require reupholstery our upholsterer Mark would charge £380 plus VAT and you would require around 4 meters of fabric which we are happy to assist in sourcing, providing swatches etc. Just let us know when purchasing the chair.
Please note we do have another one listed of the identical chair which does have a small repair to the hinged flip at the back - perfectly usable and stable - if you desire a pair…
A seldom seen great looking British 1950s armchair.
