A great shape – curved corners and rounded edges and still with its DSG Logo across the front door. DSG or the full name - Dean Smith & Grace is a British manufacturer, founded in 1865, of lathes and milling machines based in West Yorkshire – their products often having been described as the “Rolls Royce of lathes”. Presented in wonderful used condition this early metal factory cabinet was found in a Black Country factory alongside a very nice surface table from a similar era which will be listed soon.
Reminding us of a ‘50s fridge, we feel this cabinet is spot on when it comes to style. It’s endured a hard life in a large engineering factory and possesses the scars to prove it, however this is what makes it so attractive. The door opens with a large brass handle to reveal two chunky drawers, a sliding shelf and 5 other shelves. The original colour is a light green which we have cleaned of factory grime and given it a full polish to enhance its look and preserve that stunning look.
Overall a striking and very rare factory cabinet/cupboard that possesses that look that so many do not!
We have dressed it for use in a bathroom however the choice of location and use is yours…
Dimensions – Overall: Height 109cm x Width 70.5cm x Depth 61cm
