A Good Vintage Military Issue Oak 1950s Chest of Drawers With Mirror
Great look with echoes of Gordon Russell in the design and getting more difficult to find with the little pivoting mirror attached. It’s of a useful size with two half drawers to the top and then three lower deeper drawers underneath. Its modest look means these fit into modern and period homes so easily. The chest is stamped on the rear -Bros Ltd 1950 GRVI.
Workshop report – The chest has been carefully repolished and bees waxed by hand to bring out the grain and tone of the oak which is good. The piece sits firm with no wobbles or repairs. We have sensible light marks but nothing nasty or off putting. The original oak knobs are sitting as they should on the drawers which have been cleaned to ensure it’s ready for use.

For any large items that require two people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item. If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with moving the item. We are happy to quote for a two person delivery if required.
