There are plenty of this era of chairs around, however, we think this one stands out from the crowd and is a little more desirable. Sitting fully professionally reupholstered in a military green Italian Melton Wool fabric, the chair with its lion heads finished arms, would fit perfectly not just into a period property but also a contemporary apartment.
Partly due to the fact that the chair has enjoyed a full reupholster (so no sagging arms or squashy seat) and partly due to its size and shape the chair is very comfortable and the sort of size that makes dozing off or reading in it a pure pleasure. Condition wise, the frame is firm and we consider possesses just the right amount of wear – too perfect and we tend to feel these chairs become pieces you only look at rather than use, never see the point in that.
Overall a great looking piece which is ready to be enjoyed.
