Victorian Aesthetic Movement Ebonised Coal Scuttle C1880
A rather handsome looking Aesthetic Movement coal scuttle surviving in good historic order. Nice to find one in its original ebonised finish and well cast brass hardware attached.
A good size which would hold kindling or a small batch of logs for the fire.
It possesses a pleasing form, highly decorative and good design with genuine wear, the inner liner still in place. As mentioned, expect genuine wear but it sits firm and strong.
