A very original Victorian pine cupboard with a finish that illustrates its history a treat. A larger than average piece of furniture which we would assume sat in a larger kitchen or pantry possibly in a large farmhouse or small country house.
The cupboard with its two panelled doors sitting underneath two deep drawers makes it not only useful but also proportionally pleasing to look at.
It’s the condition that makes this one stand out! The gentle rubbing away of the original finish to the edge of the top, probably an outcome of someone leaning their arm on it (it’s just the right height), the odd knock or two and the occasional signs of wear on its original toffee coloured finish makes it a delight to own. It possess that look which means it will fit into a period home with ease but also as the ability to be a focal point in a more modern or industrial setting.
