Wonderful 1940s Vintage Engineers Factory 20 Drawer Steel Cabinet Ready to Go

Found in a Sheffield wire factory with over 100 years heritage, this 20 drawer steel cabinet is without doubt a cracker. The cabinet was discovered in the factory workshop alongside a selection of other items so it’s got history.
We would say around 1940 maybe 50s due to the look and weight. We have polished the piece and its looking pretty good if we say so ourselves. The cabinet possesses 20 drawers which are opened with two handles which form a distinctive and striking pattern to the front – please note two of the handles are missing however this does not affect its function. Each draw in turn is divided into 12 slim compartments that are in their original “factory green” and showing signs of usage. The size and proportions are about right we think and rather individual.
This sort of piece will be admired wherever you wish to place it. We have adopted the cabinet at the unit as a coffee / side table however with its look I am sure someone will find the perfect use and spot for it!
It goes without saying, its firm with no repairs and is deceptively heavy.
