Attractive 1930s Oak Glazed Cabinet Bookcase With Key
Attractive two door glazed oak bookcase cabinet surviving from the 1930s with the bonus of a working lock and key.
This one possesses an office/industrial look – not being too elaborate and is a good size for a number of spaces in the home. The oak is of a good rich tone and we have glass framed sides for a change. The piece sits on a well sized plinth with an overall attractive form.
Workshop report – The cabinet sits firm with no wobbles. The glass to the doors and both sides is crack and break free. We have 2 glass shelves inside and again these are crack/chip free. We have cleaned and waxed the piece which has enhanced the grain well. The original lock and key are in place and the doors close level. We do have a faint coloured ring mark to the top and obviously gentle age marks.
A good looking piece of British furniture in a pleasing tone of oak C1930.
