Attractive 1930 Oak 4 Drawer Tallboy Cabinet
Such an attractive piece of early 20th Century English furniture and ever so useful. Not sure what to call this, could be a cabinet, chest or tallboy but whatever it is, it’s rather handsome with the line of 4 drawers flanked by 2 slender cupboards and all sitting on those great looking pad feet. A very well proportioned piece.
This one could fit into a number of home and commercial spaces and is of good quality – we would assume a one off, bespoke made piece from around the mid-1930s.
Workshop report – The cabinet sits firm with no wobbles or repairs. The original deco shaped handles are in situ and the drawers are running as they should. The interiors of the drawers and cupboards are clean and tidy. The top is in very good order with no deep marks or ugly stains. The grain is good and deep on all sides and the pad feet are in place.
A very good looking piece of 1930s oak furniture in fine order, just gentle aging.
Dimensions - Overall: Height 108cm x Width 100cm x Depth 50cm with the Top 46-50cm (Sides-Mid)
