Ray Richardson Ltd Edition “Sunflower” 28/125 Remaining
This portrait, dated 2000 is a limited edition screenprint, “Sunflower” being 28/125, is signed, titled and dated by Ray Richardson. We are fans of his and couldn’t resist buying and selling a few of his works. This print has been professionally mounted with an oak frame.
Ray Richardson is a British artist born in London. His artworks depict the iconography of working-class London such as the English bull terrier and tough looking men and are based on his observations from living and working in southeast London. His works all have a powerful attention given to the pose which is vital to the creation of the atmosphere and his interest in Film Noir movies amongst other genres of film help him "to combine the traditional stuff of painting with the cinematic ways of looking at things" and has lead him to being referred to as the “Martin Scorsese of Painting”.
This portrait would look good in a home or commercial setting.
