Rare Pair of Robert Heritage Armchairs by George Stone C1960
Rare pair of lounge armchairs C1960s by Robert Heritage for George Stone of High Wycombe. The frames are constructed from Afromosia wood with newly upholstered cushions. The sculptural form is clearly influenced by some of the finest mid-century Danish designs of the period with stylish curved sweeping arms and low narrowing legs. The maker's badge of George Stone is on the underside of both chairs.
Workshop report -The firm frames have enjoyed a re-polish so expect a lovely smooth grain with the odd wear and historic mark. The cushions are fully fire compliant and contrast well with the Afromosia in a good quality, slate coloured woven fabric with new foam inners.
Price is for the pair.
A rather good looking pair of British armchairs ready to place.
