Mid Century McIntosh Dunvegan Teak Sideboard 1960s
Great teak sideboard by McIntosh of Kirkcaldy part of the Dunvegan range and a one owner piece. This one was designed by Tom Robertson and is beautifully crafted with some wonderful lines, chic “fine” handles and stunning grains in the teak.
One large shelved cupboard in the centre, a drop down drinks cabinet with slide out serving tray and bottle holders to the right and three good sized drawers to the left the top being black felt lined and sectioned for cutlery. The legs have the original feet in place.
Workshop report – We have sympathetically polished and cleaned the sideboard, so expect very few marks, just gentle aging. The teak is glowing well and is of a good tone – not tired looking. The interior is again very smart - clean, tidy and neat – all as it should. All doors are opening and closing as they should with no missing pieces. With the Dunvegan you get sold teak not veneer, matched grains and top quality craftsmanship as well as a great looking well-designed piece. This one even has its original factory packing label…
A great looking piece of British furniture.
