Delightful Victorian Arts and Crafts Oak Hall Stand Dated 1904
We would assume a client bespoke made piece in its day. This one is a delight to the eye and also of sensible proportions compared to most hall stands. This one caught our eye and is particularly attractive with its frame of angled oak, little bevelled mirror, small glove drawer and original ornate cast coat hooks.
Our workshop report – The hall stand survives in very nice order. The oak is of a pleasing tone and grain. We have genuine day to day wear but nothing unattractive. The two pressed steel drip trays are in situ and sitting as they should. The bevelled mirror is repair and crack free with just a little foxing. We have no pieces of the stand missing or repaired. The stand has been lightly waxed so it’s ready for placing.
