Edwardian Early 20th Century Leather Club Desk Chair
Looking rather handsome and nicely aged without being knackered. This early 20th Century club desk chair sits well in its aged deep claret coloured leather and good looking front legs. It’s of good proportions and with sensible seat height.
Our workshop report – The chair is well aged – the frame is nice and crusty around the base of the feet and with historic knocks and bumps. We do have a decorative piece missing on the top of the left leg, historic, worn in and not a concern. The good quality leather upholstery is again nicely aged with age marking and soft creasing and supple cracks. The seat is firm with a gentle dip where the bum goes! No rips or stains to the upholstery. Springs are good. A well-aged piece of seating – do not expect new.
Without doubt a handsome mellow looking piece of English early 20th Century seating.
