Very Nice Art Deco Oak Desk Console Table
A seldom seen piece of very nice 1930s Art Deco inspired furniture, finished in wonderful cuts of English oak. Particularly good quality, fine looking and so very practical at the same time – a combination not always found in furniture.
This one could easily be placed in a hallway, slotted into a living room as a console or used as a desk in a home office environment. Must admit one of the best we have found for awhile!
This one has lots going for it. The angled chisel cut oak base is a delight. The two drawers sit below a fine patterned edge and the gentle figured oak to the top finishes the piece off well.
It sits in a well cared for condition. The drawers with its original oak handles are opening and closing as they should. The frame is firm with no repairs and the oak top has light sensible wear to it. Overall a well-cared for desk table with gentle aging – about right.
A handsome looking piece of well-designed and crafted furniture.
