Golden Oak 1930s Vintage Art Deco Bookcase Cabinet
An attractive looking 1930s Art Deco inspired half glazed bookcase in a lovely tone of oak. This was a rare model produced by Minty of Oxford – the little Irvine logo sits on the inside of the left hand top door.
Apart from some lovely features – including those great Deco angled legs and the patterned motif to the front, this one is such a neat size – so plenty of opportunities to squeeze this one into the home or commercial space.
Workshop report – It’s been well cared for, with the oak being a pleasing golden tone with no nasty marks or repairs – a few historic marks to the top. The little copper tarnished oblong handles are still in situ with both the glazed and lower doors closing as they should. The glass is repair and crack free and the piece sits firm with no wobbles. There is an adjustable shelf within the lower section. We have lightly polished the cabinet and ensured it is ready to place.
A particularly nice piece of 1930s British furniture from a good maker.
