Vintage Vanity Dressing Mirror by Lucian Ercolani for Ercol 1960s
Not something you see every day, a rather good looking vanity mirror by Ercol designed by Lucian Ercolani. Would look great in a bedroom or bathroom. One of the earliest pieces in the company’s successful 'Windsor' range and given the name tag of being the “438 Mirror”.
This one has an elm base with a lovely grain which you would probably expect from Ercol... The circular mirror can be adjusted and tilted to around 45 degrees with a beech screw to lock it in position at the rear.
Condition wise its good – the tilt is working fine and all pieces are in situ. The round mirror has no chips or cracks, just a little aging and foxing – but nothing ugly. The stand is firm and we do have a slight historic split to the back but it's old and not causing concern.
A great piece to finish off the mid-century look!
