Guy Rogers Teak New Yorker Armchair Mid Century 1960s
Great looking 1960s armchair from Guy Rogers with lovely contours to the well designed, solid teak frame. One of Guy Rogers best designed chairs by Eric Pamphilon and George Fryer showing off those paddle arm rests and a decent deep comfortable seat. These would have been retailed exclusively through Heals stores.
The New Yorker was designed around 1965 and survives the test of time well – still looking very stylish and dare we say elegant. This one has received a light repolish to the frame which is pleasingly in tone – expect day to day wear. We have replaced the foam on the woven wool tweed fabric seat and the webbing is good.
A very nice lounge chair ready to place.
