McIntosh Set of 8 Mid Century Teak Dining Chairs
This set of eight matching dining chairs designed by Tom Robertson for McIntosh are newly reupholstered in an ebony woven chenille fabric which works very well with the design, era of manufacture and tone of the teak. These are becoming a bit of a classic design being perfect for homes ancient or modern.
Workshop report - The chairs survive in good order all dated April 1972 on the underside of the frames. The seats have been newly upholstered in a good quality fabric and are obviously mark or rip free. We have lightly re-polished the frames which, we find, highlights the grain of the teak, rather in preference to oiling them which can leave them a little greasy to touch. We do have a couple of accomplished repairs to the top of a few chairs but not ugly and well executed. As we say expect light day to day marks on the frames and as for the seats - they are brand spanking new!
A well designed set of 8 dining chairs by McIntosh of Kinkcaldy.
