1920/1930 Elegant High Quality Brass and Black Based Standard Lamp

This standard lamp caught our eye recently, something a little different from the norm and a step up in quality compared to most of its era. We think this one originates from around 1930 and would have been quite an expensive purchase due to its weight, quality and finish.
The base is ebonised metal which sits on a trio of finely cast brass leaves which form the feet to the lamp. It is further enhanced with well-cast foliage covering the base and stem. The brass reeded stem again is of a good quality and is broken up half way by a thick well-made column.
It has been fully, professionally rewired with the addition of old gold coloured vintage flex, fitted with a new vintage style plug and fully PAT tested. We have also added a new black fabric shade which with its gold interior finishes off the piece well.
A very stylish and elegant lamp which is ready to switch on and enjoy!
