Set of Four Handsome High Backed English Edwardian Chairs in Very Good Order

Not always easy to find, these are a rather handsome set of four chairs that would work well around a table but also work well as sets of two pairs dispersed around the home.
The quality of the frames finished with a pair of brass castors is very good. We would also assume that the seats have been fully reupholstered not that long ago – with the deep gold velvet having been beautifully hand stitched on the corners. The seats have also been hand tacked underneath and restrung (these are most certainly firm with no sagging).
As mentioned, the frames possess an air of quality being quite weighty, the legs are pleasantly reeded and finished in the front with two capped brass casters. The backs are high, well figured and the seat wide which not only gives them presence but also makes them very comfortable. There are no wobbles, breaks or repairs just historic wear and tear. We have lightly waxed the frames ensuring that the chairs are ready to be enjoyed but not fully stripped of their past.
