Edwardian Oak Desk Armchair C1910
One of a small number found in Lancashire, this one is rather lovely – a great shape, pleasing tone to the oak and with a wonderful job of new leather to the seat, makes this jolly attractive.
The earlier in the 20th Century, the better the quality usually seems to be with this style of chair and this one possesses a fine stance, a broad seat, shapely legs back and front with double turned stretchers. Lets face it, it’s damn good looking!
Workshop report - The frame has been carefully polished to enhance rather than lose the past. New webbing has been added under the new aged green English hide placed on top secured with tarnished studs.
A good English oak framed armchair.
Dimensions - Overall: Height 86cm x Width 62cm x Depth 59.5cm
Dimensions - Specifically the Seat: Height 48cm x Width 47cm x Depth 46cm
