1930s Vintage British Oak Twin Pedestal Desk by Angus
This one is presented in great historic order having been found in a Warwickshire factory office. Surviving from around the 1930s, this twin pedestal oak desk with its flight of three drawers to one side, deep filing drawer by way of two faux drawers topped by a single drawer on the other side and slender middle drawer, is displaying its past well. The frame is sitting firm on 8 sturdy legs, with the original option of brass tipped end covers, all drawers are running fine, the great shaped handles are all in place, with the desk having no repairs or alterations.
Workshop report – The desk is firm with no wobbles or sways. We have waxed the frame. The drawers are running fine with some having original thin wood file separators in place. The middle drawer does have its lock missing which you only see when open. The top is age marked, but nothing new or particularly off putting. The desk is glowing well and smells fine. Expect 90 years of sensible wear...
A good oak desk from Angus.
