Good McIntosh Mid Century Teak Glazed Bookcase Cabinet
Great quality and design from McIntosh, plus a super size – you can get a TV on top no problem if you so desired.
McIntosh positioned themselves at the top end of the furniture market in the 60s and this cabinet is no exception. A gentle curve to the front, a nice cut to the legs, angles to the front of the shelves and a rather good looking knob to the cabinet. As mentioned it’s a useful size and combi - narrow with a shelved cabinet to the left and two sliding glass doors to the right with adjustable shelves all round.
Workshop report - We have gently polished the piece, the glass slides well with no chips. The original knob on the cabinet door is in situ. The interior is clean with no marks. We do have few marks to the top but nothing nasty. A well cared for piece.
A good piece of 1960s furniture from a good maker.
Dimensions - Overall: Height 89.5cm x Width 140cm x Depth 29.5cm
