Attractive Small 1920s Vintage Oak Single Pedestal Desk
An attractive little oak desk surviving from around the early 1920s and in fine order. This smaller size desk packs a punch with its 3 drawers, typing slide and additional work space by way of a flip up extending leaf. Enough space for a decent sized laptop or typewriter!
Rather attractive with its stout workman like stance and good height.
Workshop report – the desk is a pleasing golden oak tone. We have waxed the runners so the drawers with the original period handles in place are running smoothly, a few scribbles and marks in the interior of the drawers. The top is historically marked with the odd old chip or two, but nothing ugly or off putting just day to day wear which you would want, or not, depending on choice. The desk is looking pleasingly aged. No bad odours. Panelled back would mean it could sit in a room if required.
A very attractive early 20th Century oak desk which will fit where space is a premium.
