A good original Georgian fireside fender of small proportions with an attractive swagged pattern to the top iron work.
This smaller sized fender or spark guard is presented in very much original condition having day to day usage marks and showing wear and tear. The iron work is very well executed showing pleasant aging and is strong (not sagging) and is also good in form and shape. The brass top rail is in good condition with a few splits however still firmly in situ. The base is strong with no rot or holes.
A recent purchase along with some wonderful Armchairs this Georgian Fire Guard is true to its history and we feel is showing its age very gracefully, ready to slot under a roaring fire as if it had been there for years.
