1920s English Oak Framed Armchair Library Chair
This late 1920s armchair with its great proportions and fine look, sits sturdy with its open oak frame - nice bulbous legs and thickly set barley twist oak supports to the arms. The seat possesses a wide berth making it comfortable and the shapely arms are the right height. Fortunately this one was quite recently professionally reupholstered in a camel and thin black striped cut velvet fabric, we have ensured the oak has enjoyed a lightly beeswaxing.
As mentioned the chair sits firm with no wobbles or sways. The fixed seat is firm with a gentle give rather than your backside hitting the floor. The fabric does have a little wear to the back edges and sides but not particularly ugly. No holes or rips. The chair is ready to place looking fresh.
We do have a matching two seater sofa if you fancy a little set…
Dimensions - Overall: Height 83cm x Width 71cm x Depth 81cm
Dimensions - Specifically the Seat: Height 37cm x Wdith 56-54cm (Front-Rear) x Depth 50cm
