Fabulous Edwardian Wingback Armchair
Handsome looking wingback armchair of good scale and with rather decent looking legs. This one is a weighty well-crafted armchair with its hump back and classic country house look.
The woven wool fabric with its looped colour co-ordinated edge trim is in fine order and of a very good quality – the back and sides being finished in a dark olive contrasting wool fabric. Worth noting also that the seat cushion is feather filled so comfortable and adds to the lived in look.
Workshop report – The armchair is in good historic order. No repairs to the frame, no movement in the arms and overall good structural condition. The legs have sensible day to day wear. The upholstery is showing sensible wear all the way around – no holes, repairs or rips.
