Handsome Antique William IV Chest of Drawers
Rather grand and looking particularly impressive with its original age tarnished pressed brass handles and those wonderfully aged turned feet.
It is presented in a pleasing aged condition - nice wear around the edges, good tone to the mahogany and a rather noble form. Like many chests of that era, the top is hinged so the storage space hides behind two dummy drawers. The lower 3 drawers are ample in size making it not only decorative but also very useful for storage.
Workshop report - The chest is in good order - it's not been re-polished so the appearance is aged - with a fine tone to the frame. The drawers are running fine and its sitting firm with no wobbles or sways and smells fine.
A very decorative piece which would slip nicely into a period home and also work well in a more modern setting residential or commercial.
